UPPER MEADOWS FARM CSA 2008 INTRODUCTION

Upper Meadows Farm is a diverse family farm that has maintained Organic Certification by NOFA-NJ consecutively since 1991. Located in Montague Township in Sussex Co. NJ we serve the immediate tri-state area of NJ, NY, and PA. We plant over 100 different varieties of vegetables for Upper Meadows Farm CSA, which are available when in season from the first weekend in June to the last weekend in October [a total of 22 weeks]. In addition to vegetables we produce beef, broilers, eggs, maple syrup and honey. These commodities are available for sale seasonally and we offer a 10% pricing advantage on all farm products to our CSA members. Subscriptions for the 2008 season are available now. To better meet your needs we offer three different types of share: Family , Individual , and Half. Our goal is for a Family share to meet 2/3 to 3/4 of the vegetable needs for a family of four; Individual share to meet 1/2 to 2/3 of the vegetable needs of an individual; Half share to provide one half of the material available in a family share. Family and Individual shares will be available weekly. Half shares will consist of 11 full share pick-ups alternate weeks or otherwise scheduled to fit your needs. As eating habits varry widely please understand that these projections represent our goal and may differ in your particular case.

HOW DO I JOIN THE CSA??

Please read the CSA Agreement Terms [View CSA AgreementTerms] in their entirety. To join you must then read, complete, sign and submit the CSA Agreement [View/Print CSA Agreement ]

To Pay by Check Print the CSA Agreement and complete as requested above, include your check made out to Upper Meadows Farm CSA and send to:

Early bird discounts are as follows: (see Note below)

$50 discount with payment in full by or before November 30.

$25 discount with payment in full before January 31.

All memberships purchased after February 1, 2008 will require the full amount (no discount). New subscriptions are available on a first come, first served basis If we reach full membership before the scheduled close of registration, June 18 2008 you may request to be placed on the waiting list.

Please Note: Credit card orders made through Local Harvest.org are not eligible for discounts due to the additional processing fee we pay. Early orders are preferred and greatly appreciated!

Refund Policy: all refunds will be prorated after June 1, 2008. No refunds will be available after June 18, 2008.

Food Stamp authorization for NJ and NY is available; please ask if you are interested in this payment option.

Distribution will be:

Thursday: Upper Meadows Farm & Ashley Farm in Flanders, NJ, between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm; Saturday: Hell's Kitchen Farmers Market on West 43rd Street, between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm; Sunday: Pleasantdale neighborhood of West Orange between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm.
